October is a little bit of a busy time on the beach in Florida for fall engagement photos for couples who will be getting married during the upcoming year. This was a special shoot!! You’re about to meet Daniel the Blue Jays baseball player and his fiancee! Alexis contacted me to shoot her wedding. I had shot her friend’s proposal HERE and they referred me to Alexis! I’m so pumped!!
Daniel (or “Danny” as Alexis calls him), is down to earth and fun. They met in high school through their friend in Illinois. Alexis and Daniel wanted their engagement on the beach since Alexis was also proposed to on the beach. Daniel made a custom dog collar to propose to her. Additionally they are moving into a new house close to the beach from Illinois. In keeping with the seashore theme I suggested to her Sand Key beach.
Another thing I loved about this them is the way they dressed to complement the location. I always advise couples to look up images of their engagement session location beforehand to ensure perfect color choices, and these two definitely chose wisely! Alexis’s dress blended perfectly with the beach and sky.
The fall engagement evening was beautiful as the sun made the sky look like cotton candy and we strolled around the area to capture their charm. While I captured the moment quietly around them. With his arms around her, they whispered to each other what they were thankful for, and it ended with a kiss. I am so excited to capture their wedding this upcoming winter; as I know it will be full of cute, heart-warming moments just like this one.
