Lets face it, times are tough right now if you are planning a wedding. Between the unknowns of when restrictions will change and the measures that need to be taken to keep your guests safe, it can feel overwhelming.
As a photographer, I have seen some very creative ways couples are planning and preparing for a COVID-19 impacted wedding day.
Postponement Not Cancellation
Of course, this can be a difficult decision. There are many factors that can impact whether you postpone your wedding or cancel. I recommend postponement if at all possible. Your wedding day should be everything you dreamed of. I’m sure you never thought a pandemic would be one of your primary concerns. If you have already booked a venue or your vendors, finding out if their dates are flexible might be your first step in deciding.
Adjust Guest Count
You thought making a list based on your budget was hard? Adjusting your guest count definitely isn’t the most pleasant task when tackling a COVID impacted wedding but for now it could be the difference between having your wedding or having to cancel. Reducing the number of people in attendance could set the stage for a more intimate and personalized wedding day. Try to go through your list, I know it will be hard!
Check Temperatures
While you had other plans for your entry table, checking temperatures at the door could help keep all of your guests a little safer. Cleaning items like hand sanitizer and easy access to restrooms for your guests to wash their hands also is a must. While your entry line may take a little longer, your guests will thank you in the long run.

Who says face masks can’t be fashionable? Go ahead and customize your face masks to be part of your ensemble. At least you won’t have to worry about having lipstick on your teeth!
