Tampa, FL is such a beautiful and diverse city. In my opinion, it is the best choice for engagement photos! Here are some of my favorite Downtown Tampa for engagement Locations in Tampa to consider:
Tampa University
Tampa University is in the center of Tampa and it offers so many background options in one location. The Henry B. Plant Museum is a landmark of downtown Tampa. It is such a beautiful, historical architectural piece. Then there is the park in front of the building that is right on the river. The palm trees make you want to kick back and relax. The whole campus gives you the downtown vibe if this is what you are looking for for your engagements!
Oxford Exchange
Right across from Tampa University is the Oxford Exchange. The Oxford Exchange is a restaurant, bookstore, lifestyle gift store, co-working space, design studio, and event venue wrapped up in one gorgeous historic building. If you are drawn to history or the intellectual feel that a library brings, this may be the location for you. Not only is the building beautiful on the outside, but it feels so exclusive when you walk in, every detail is breathtaking. There is a reason that it is classified as one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Tampa Bay.
Hyde Park Village
I absolutely love Hyde Park Village Tampa, FL. It is filled with cute boutiques that give you the feeling of shopping down a Paris street. The white walls, fountains, and beautiful corners match my bright and airy style perfectly. We can either pose along the street or stage a date at one of the cute outdoor restaurants. Then after the engagement session, since you’re all dolled up anyway, you should treat yourself to a nice dinner at one of the incredible Hyde Park restaurants. I can give you a recommendation of what to order there, if you’d like 🙂
Le Méridien Hotel
Another luxury engagement location in downtown Tampa is Le Meridien Hotel. The stairs in front of the hotel give off a New York City vibe as they match the stairs of the New York Public Library and the Met Museum. A bonus of this stunning location is that you can walk to Curtis Hixon Park which is only 3 blocks away. I highly recommend a sunrise session in this location, as the front of the hotel has limited space.
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park
Speaking of Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park this location is so versatile. It is near the Museum of Art, has a gorgeous view of the river, and you can see Tampa University in the background as well. This is another spot where I recommend doing a sunrise session because it can get so crowded in the evenings. If you don’t mind being patient with people, though, the sunsets are breathtaking in photos. If you are taking your engagement photos on a weekday, I would say go for the sunset shots. However, if your session is on a weekend, the sunrise shoot is probably the best choice.
