Clearwater Beach Engagement Photos

This engagement session on Clearwater Beach was wonderful! Ayrika and Derrick were terrific subjects in this beautiful setting!  Ayrika emailed me to book her engagement session on the beach after being engaged for just a few days. I was so excited to meet them!

Derrick planned the proposal in their apartment on his birthday as Ayrika eagerly anticipated the prospect of Derrick popping the question.  She said yes and told me it was well worth the wait!

Ayrika also explained that Derrick can be pretty shy in front of the camera. I assured her that engagement sessions are a great idea for a number of reasons: They allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.  There’s no pressure so you can’t mess it up! You can call it a “Practice Session.”  I will help coach you through all the poses, the do’s and don’ts; what looks and angles are best for you.  I can help calm the nerves as I know being in front of the camera can seem a little awkward, but looking at this as a practice session ahead of your big day will help you so much when that day arrives, trust me!

Ayrika and Derrick love the beach in Clearwater so much that they flew from Kentucky to have their Clearwater Beach Engagement Photos done on the beach and used for the “Save the Date” cards.

And guess what theme are they having on their wedding day? Winter Theme! How cool is that! (Because Derrick also has Winter as a last name).  I bet they are probably big fans of Game of Thrones too! 😂
