Sand Key Beach Engagement

This sweet couple contacted me last December for their engagement photography on the Sand Key Beach Engagement.

Mike and Ashley are initially from Illinois, but they love to travel together and have been visiting Florida for 6 of the nearly eight years they’ve been dating. They first met through social media and shared several interests like baseball, football, and the beach. In addition to being New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fans, visiting all 30 major league baseball stadiums tops their bucket list. They always head down to Tampa to enjoy Yankees spring training games.

If they love for Florida and the beach isn’t already apparent, this couple just knew that they had to do their engagement photos on the beach. They love spending anytime they can on the coast. They also love the sound of the waves in the background. That made Sand Key Beach – not far from Clearwater Beach in Florida – the perfect destination for these photos. It’s my favorite spot to shoot pictures, and these turned out particularly well.

I was so thrilled to be a part of this exciting milestone. The more I learned Mike and Ashley’s story and spent time with them, the more I loved Ashley and Mike!

At that day, the beach wasn’t busy, making it an absolute breeze to shoot photos in various poses and settings. Furthermore, the weather was gorgeous, and the lighting was everything a natural light photographer could have hoped.

My favorite part is the photos clearly show the love that Mike and Ashley have for each other. They’re the friendliest people and truly display a balanced relationship. They know each other well. While one is more reserved, the other is more adventurous. If one is stressed, the other is calm.
