Nick and Erica’s summer wedding at the IMG Golf Club in Sarasota, FL was simply beautiful. They are such a kind and easy-going couple who worked to plan a flawless wedding day. I remember talking to Erica during one of our pre-wedding phone consultations, and she was so excited about their venue. She couldn’t wait to be married at the gorgeous IMG golf club, and I can see why! The ocean views were unbelievable, and the best part is that they offered indoor and outdoor plans for weddings. The summer weather in Florida can be brutal. The heat and humidity can make it hard for guests to sit through a ceremony and reception outdoors. It was so comforting to know that they had the option to be indoors if needed.
On the morning of the wedding, we started out by capturing Erica’s wedding details. She wore the most beautiful spaghetti strap gown with a mermaid fit and carried a bouquet made up entirely of white roses. Their color scheme was classic black and white. The bridal party and Nick wore straight black, and Erica and her details were all pure white. It was such a gorgeous contradiction and looked absolutely timeless in the photos. Erica wanted to do a first look with her mom and grandma, her uncle, and then with Nick. Each first look was so emotional and special for everyone involved.
I had my worries about the weather in Sarasota, but it ended up being a perfect summer day. We took romantic husband and wife portraits on the green of the golf course, and even got a husband and wife shot at sunset. Nick and Erica were so patient and easy to work with. We were able to capture some beautiful photos and a wedding video that they will treasure forever. After the ceremony and photos outdoors, we moved the party inside for a lively reception where everyone danced the night away.
I love working with couples from start to finish in their wedding planning process. As soon as I met these two at their engagement session, I knew that they were my ideal type of clients. It was such an honor for me to document their big day and celebrate their love with them!
