Tampa Engagement Photos at Oxford Exchange | Ciara & JT

Ciara and JT’s engagement session was the ultimate Florida experience. Between the iconic Oxford Exchange building and the renowned Tampa Bay beaches, we captured some truly gorgeous engagement photos.

This couple started out with a night on the town in Ybor City. Ciara and her friend, Tiffany, were out at the Coyote Ugly Saloon when her friend spotted a group of guys (JT’s close friends) that she wanted to talk to. They joined the group and started talking, and when JT came back from the restroom, Ciara and JT noticed each other immediately. If you ask Ciara, their connection was instant. If you ask JT, he was drawn to her right away, but it took some encouragement from his friends to work up the courage to talk to her. However it happened, they ended up talking until 3 am that night.

JT proposed to Ciara on a romantic getaway to Rhode Island. They returned to their hotel after a day full of biking around Martha’s Vineyard, and Ciara thought that if he was going to propose, he would’ve done it by now. Little did she know, JT had a special fire set up on the hotel’s beach where he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Ciara and JT are the most amazing clients to work with. They were so patient and open to posing ideas throughout the shoot. They never once complained, even though the Tampa heat in June is rough! While their outfits at the Oxford were absolutely stunning, I was worried about poor JT in his suit in 100-degree weather. We hurried down to the beach in Cypress Point Park, where the couple changed into beautiful beachy outfits. The sunset was perfect and the breeze felt so nice.

Like many grooms, JT was a little uncomfortable in front of the camera. It was so cute to watch Ciara cheer him up and make him smile. In the end, this couple was gorgeous both inside and outside. I feel so lucky to get to work with them, and I cannot wait to capture their big day at the Belleair Country Club.
