The Santos family and I met up at Swann Park for some sweet family portraits with their little boy. This was their first time taking family photos together, and I am so excited about how they turned out. Mom, Kaitlin, did such a great job of coordinating everyone’s outfits. The boys wore natural-colored sweaters and jeans that were perfect for the fall weather. Their little boy, Christian, wore the cutest baby leather boots. I love the small details when it comes to outfits! The little things can make a big difference. Kaitlin wore a gorgeous, flowy white dress and light brown heels that highlighted the boys’ sweaters. Not only did the family look great, but they were perfectly dressed for the season.
Swann Park is a beautiful location for a fall family photo shoot. It is a little park near downtown Tampa, FL, that is surrounded by gorgeous homes. The park is full of large trees and green spaces for natural, relaxed photos that are not too far from the city. The fall colors just make my heart happy! We had to reschedule our session once for poor weather and illness, so we were excited to shoot on an evening with clear skies and open sunshine.
Dad, Andrew, travels often for work, so these photos were especially meaningful to the family. Little Christian had not seen his dad in a long time and was thrilled to have some quality time together. The only problem with this is that Christian only wanted to be held by Dad and stand by Dad. It took us a while to get him to take a photo with his mom! Even though they can be unpredictable, I love working with kids. I always go into family sessions with the mindset of “going with the flow.” You never know what mood or personality you will get from children, so it can be an adventure working with them! Luckily, Kaitlin and Andrew were equally patient and easygoing, so we were able to give Christian the time he needed to warm up and take adorable candid photos with both of his sweet parents.
