There are so many things that I love about my job, but at the top of my list are the relationships that I am able to form with my clients. There are not many professions that allow you to make long-term friends and be able to be there, celebrating with them, for the big moments in their lives.
Back in 2019, I met today’s family during a fall mini-session. Since then, I have photographed their family several times and seen them gain two new members. The Ryans gained a fur baby in 2020 and now a sweet new baby. It was especially fun to take newborn portraits after we had just done the mom’s maternity session. The Ryans booked their maternity and newborn sessions together. This is the easiest and most convenient way to book. It is nice to plan ahead and save the date so that you don’t have to worry about booking sessions after having a new baby. These parents were so excited to welcome their newest addition, I couldn’t help but feel excited with them.
For their newborn session, we headed to an indoor studio in downtown Tampa. It had absolutely everything that we needed, and the location was perfect. We were even able to include their dog, Penny, in the session. I am a full supporter of having pets in family sessions. I know that fur babies are family members just like everyone else! Penny is actually a dog influencer, and she is extremely well-trained. She knew how to sit, stay, and pose for photos calmly. I always love working with pets, but she was especially fun and easy to work with.
Another thing that I appreciate about the Ryan family is the positive energy that they bring to every session. The attitude of the parents can seriously make or break a family session. When we met up at the Tampa studio, I could tell that it was going to be another successful shoot. The whole family was calm and happy, and it really shows in these gorgeous newborn portraits. I feel so lucky to be able to keep capturing memories for this kind family, and I can’t wait to see what they schedule next!
